Weekly update!

I've decided that I'll do weekly updates (probably on Mondays) to list off all of the super interesting things that have been going on. I know, I know, stop laughing. Nothing that interesting happens here, but I think it will be a fun idea to list off some fun & interesting things that have happened over the week but do not produce a long winded post of their own. So, here goes!
This week:
- In an attempt to be stylish and save money, I've gone through the pile of jeans I no longer wear for whatever reason, and have cut them into shorts. Since NC doesn't have seasons, just summer, less summer, and holy crap it was 20 degrees for three whole days, shorts are in higher demand than jeans.
- The internet was out on base today, meaning Matt spent a whole 5 hours at work, 3 of which were out for lunch or watching a movie, so we had a nice afternoon spent singing along to songs from the 90's and going out to dinner with Allyssa
- I got a new water bowl for the cats - which hasn't been knocked over in the 36 hours we've had it so keeping my fingers crossed that the little furballs of destruction will leave this one alone
- Dobby fell into the dish drying rack, and then into the sink, breaking both. I don't know how he manages so much destruction for something so small, but my mom probably thought the same thing about me.
- We decided to make some adult rootbeer floats but no sooner did we walk into the door...

Luckily Allyssa was here to draw us a cake to make us feel better
- I've had really awful insomnia, which has given me the opportunity to read 4 book this week. Yes, 4.  Okay, I lied, 6 books. I haven't slept at all. Which leads to this...

Good friends offer to brew you coffee if you can get out of bed and power through the 37 second walk to their house
- On the domestic front, I finally found a way of organizing and categorizing my chore list so I don't feel like I have to power clean every day, instead I list the daily things, 3 times a week things, once a week things, and the things I make Matt do
- Matt's schedule got changed around a bit, so now he's working from 9 to about 6. It's nice to be able to stay up a little later and very nice for him to not have an alarm set for 5:45 (that wakes me up as well)
- I got Allyssa to start watching Doctor Who (I played it on my iPad after she had already agreed to a playdate so she couldn't run away) and she says she really likes it, but that may have just been said to placate me and the manic look on my face
- My family back home adopted a puppy which makes planning a visit home that much more important
- Matt and I were extra goofy this week, and had lots of fun making funny faces at each other and being giant goobers
- We watched The Croods which I highly recommend to anyone with a sense of humor. It was a great lazy movie night in the middle of the week
And that's about all I can think of as far as mundane stuff that you all should be super excited about! Until next time!
